1921 Morgan Silver Dollar
- Named after its designer, George T. Morgan, this silver dollar is noteworthy and highly collectible because it is the last in U.S. Mint’s series of “cartwheel” silver coins. The Morgan silver dollar was minted between 1878 and 1904, and again, for a final year in 1921. Al of the coins have been dubbed cartwheels because Lady Liberty, whose profile appears on the coin’s obverse (front) is surrounded by a ring -or cartwheel – of stars. George
The Morgan Silver Dollar is the legendary coin of the Wild West. It was struck from 1878 to 1921 with silver from the Comstock Lode in Nevada, and it was especially popular in the west. The coin was known as a cartwheel because of its large size.

Review by Alexander B. Bourg for 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar
Rating:
My first Morgan Dollar was an 1890 Philadephia coin. Not a significant value like the Carson City, but it was still was worth something. Anyway the 1921 is more memorable since 86 million were struck alone that year. The Morgan dollar is a great thing to own since silver is on the rise.
