You’d have better luck with wooden nickels, my friend. They’re not even worth the pot metal they’re cast from. That gold plating sure makes em look purdy tho. It’s called a novelty item because that’s all it’s worth – the novelty of owning one. Just like the cheap crap you get at the county fair. Sorry for your loss, but you probably voted for the guy too – you get what you pay for. Maybe you can use them as paperweights or something? Perfect example of a fool & his money – no offense.

Actually they are not worth too much. There is too much spit on them.

You can take them to a gold dealer who will buy them to melt down the gold, but you likely won’t get as much as they were bought for.

The only place that might purchase them from you is a coin dealer but you won’t get the value that they are selling them for on tv.

Novelty item means that they are not legal tender so you can not use them to purchase items.

EDIT: You might want to listen to the commercials more carefully or check the information if you have bought one. They are not solid gold but rather have a 24k overlay that has a very little gold content. The gold content of 70 coins wouldn’t add up to a quarter oz total.
